Classical musician photography is something I am specialised in, allowing me the privilege of working with exceptionally talented artists, including cellists, violinists, pianists, singers, and conductors.
Sometimes fortunate enough to hear the musician play while I work. Not only is this an ideal way for me to get good photos, but is also an excuse to have my own personal performance!
As a classical musician photographer, I can work either in my studio or at a variety of venues and locations across London, including some with grand pianos. Over the years, I’ve photographed musicians in a diverse range of settings, from kitchens, concert halls, and school gyms to music venues, skate parks, and, of course, the studio. Each location is chosen to complement the musician’s personality and style, and I’m always happy to discuss the best venue to suit your specific requirements.
Most of my work with classical musicians is for promotional purposes, such as websites, albums, or marketing materials. Whether you’re an emerging artist preparing to make your mark or an established performer looking to refresh your portfolio, I will create images that resonate with your audience and reflect your personality and skill.
Recent assignments have included photographing students from the Royal College of Music, as well as world-class conductors, cellists, and pianists performing on international stages. Every musician brings their unique personality and story to the session, and my goal is to reflect that individuality in every image. From the intensity of a solo cellist to the presence of a conductor.
